About
Pop sensibility,
cinematic scope
Jacky Chan is a composer for film, television and video games. He has written additional music for the feature films Ídolos and Los Futbolísimos 2, and his music has accompanied award-winning documentaries and animations. He was nominated for the Young Talent Award at the Krakow Film Music Festival, where he studied under Miriam Cutler and met Daniel Pemberton, and was a finalist in the Chigiana International Film Scoring Competition.

In addition to composing, he has worked as an audio engineer at Quad Studios NYC and James L. Dolan Studio. He was lead recording engineer on the single Coffee Roaster by Dewey Huang and Eden Witvoet, and has recorded classical pianists auditioning for the Cliburn and International Chopin Piano Competitions.

A free Kontakt instrument I planned, recorded, edited and scripted from top to bottom. It’s named after James L. Dolan Studio, where I studied and worked for many years, and captures an elegant Yamaha C7 through the studio’s finest microphones and gear.
